211 is free.  It’s available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  It is available in more than 170 languages. 

211 has very short wait times for connection to a human voice.  211 is staffed by service navigators who are trained, certified and equipped with skills to help people in challenging situations.  211 Service navigators have access to a huge and growing database of information and resources.  It’s confidential, but follow-up service is offered where a follow-up is requested.

211 helps people solve problems, address challenges, and remove barriers by connecting them with resources.  It's an important and valuable service for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.

2-1-1 connects callers with

Financial Aid	Newcomer Support Services
Women's Shelters	Indigneous Services
Food Security Programs	Housing Services
Resource Centres	Senior Programs
Mental Health Support	and more
