great homecooking on the Southern Shore

Visiting the Southern Shore this year? Be sure to check out In da Loop.  Proudly Pub and Grub, In Da Loop offers a home-cooked meal for everyone to enjoy.

The building features a full bar, pool tables, patio area, stage for local acts to entertain, and of course a large dining area. It’s easy to see why locals love it – it really does feel like home.

best bakery on the Great Northern Peninsula

Imagine: you're on the way to L'Anse aux Meadows - crossroads of 6000 years of human history.  You're driving the length of the Great Northern Peninsula on the #Staycation of your dreams, and suddenly you get a craving for bread!   Googling 'bakeries near me' you're deligthed to find "The Bakery and Coffee Shop" is not far at all.  It's just right there, in Port aux Choix.  The bakery started as a small business providing homemade bread and pastries to the fishing enterprises, and now makes everybody happen.  Had they know it was coming, The Vikings may have stayed!
