Guide to the Good is the result of collaboration of many! We are a coming together of different types of people with different types of lives, united in a shared love of local and a common cause of building a strong, integrated, resiilent community.
Kim Todd
The need to connect, support, protect, promote and celebrate all the great things that are NL led to the founding of thegreenrock non-profit, and later Guide to the Good social enterprise. Her focus now is on creating content that shares the wonder of it all, all over.
Stephen Blackwood
Steve is with Centre for Research and Innovation at Grenfell Campus. He enjoys everything local that NL offers, from craft beer to the great outdoors. He's passionate about the environment, and recognizes the essential role local plays in building sustainable communities.
Andrew Bourne
Andrew advises local businesses on business strategy and digital transformation. When not actively studying towards his MBA, he can often be found spending time with his family or in the woods enjoying the beauty of our province.
Donna Curran
Love of the natural environment and the idea of sustainable communities brought Donna to thegreenrock. In work life Donna is Customer Business Manager II P3 Projects at Johnson Controls, and is working on the province's first carbon neutral building.
Erin Molloy
Erin is an entrepreneur who loves to take part in community organizations. She studied English and Sociology at Memorial University, completed a Bachelor of Public Relations at Mount Saint Vincent University, and now practices her craft through agency Twine PR.
Amparo Montoya
Ampy sees incredible potential for people in small business to build a stronger future for this province, especially newcomers. A Colombian Newfoundlander, Ampy is a specialist in training and quality control in food safety, and a volunteer with the Collective Interchange.
Maham Rahim
Maham loves order and bringing all the pieces together. When we first met her, she said "I love balance sheets and income statements." We were stunned at that, but it was entirely true. She's our Treasurer, and Maham makes things balance at Memorial University.
Amanda Russell
Amanda does the Finance and Admin and she's steady go getting making sure all the right boxes are ticked. A fun storyteller and get-it-done machine, Amanda has three kids so busy is an understatement. But she's always ready for a chat with members, and gets out there to share stories one-on-one.
Ryan Young
Ryan is our Marketing Sustainability Outreach Coordinator, so he's keen to let local companies all over NL know about Guide to the Good. And - happiness! - he's also a bit of a digital marketing wizard, so his skills are a perfect fit, especially for our CDAP Grow Your Business Online work.
Gilbert Mensah
Gilbert is a Big Picture marketing guy with an eye on Social Enterprise. His goal is helping Guide to the Good understand and meet the needs of local companies so they, and our communities thrive. His work is supported by MITACS and Memorial's Centre for Social Enterprise.
Mike O'Driscoll
The $120k Google Ad Words grant is tremendously helpful to thegreenrock in our efforts to inspire local, social and green action. we're happy to have Mike, a Google guy, on the back end checking the metrics and making the Google Ads fly.
Melissa Wong
journalist, videographer, poet and all-around organized person, Melissa became a greenrocker in the summer of 2021, and is now working her magic as a contractor. Videos are her specialty.
Bobby Bessey
is past-Chair and owner of Shakti Yoga and Wellness, Bobby shares yoga classes and yoga trainings with students around the world. Hatha, ayurvedic, pre-natal, neurogenic, and more. She's a morning person.
